Something Special for Dad

Good Morning.  It's Lisa with my newest project for Just for Fun.  I am so excited to be able to share my creation with you.

I started with the white card base.  I cut a mat of navy blue card stock and add to the center of the card front.   I cut piece of white card stock and I masked the top and bottom edges leaving 2 inches open in the middle.  I sponged on Summer Sky ink.  I then stamped Lighthouse stamp (F2303) using Tuxedo Black ink.  I then stamped the Father’s Day sentiment (C2132) in the center right edge with Tuxedo Black ink.  I added the stamped image to the mat in the center of the card front.

Time to Honor Dad

It's quickly approaching Father's Day and time to honor all dads around the world.

I chose to share this masculine card in honor of all of them.  It was created using the book stamp and globe stamp from Just For Fun.  The book stamp is one of my favorites because it works well with so many other stamps and themes, too.  I fussy cut around it after stamping the image in black ink and then added it to the print patterned paper(from The Robin's Nest) using some 3-d adhesive to make it stand out.  All of the stamped images were colored using Letraset markers and the letters were punched out and adhered to the book.

Still in need of stamps for your Father's Day card?  Be sure to head on over to the Just For Fun website and check all of them out.

No matter if dad is a teacher, a world traveller or travels the world through the stories he tells, any father would be honored to receive this fun card for Father's Day.

Happy Creating!

Ship in a Bottle

Hello, stampers!  Celine is back again, this time with an offering for
Father's Day!
To achieve this ship-in-a-bottle feat, you'll need a stamp positioner and a piece of vellum or acetate in addition to the stamps used.
Stamp the background image onto base card stock (I used a wrinkled bag pattern), then carefully arrange and stamp the ship and bottle.  Stamp the ship again onto white or gray paper, and cut out the sails.  Glue them to the base card stock.  Color the waves, boat, and cork.
Stamp the bottle again onto acetate or vellum and adhere to the base.
Stamp the sentiment, and deliver!

Masculine card

Today I have for you a masculine card. If you are anything like me, those types of cards are the hardest to make. Don't know why but they just are. But thankfully JFF carries stamps that make it so easy to make a masculine card to be proud of.

I used E300 PRR Railroad for my card. Stamped in brown and then distressed before layering. Kept the card pretty clean by using design paper in earth tone colors and a little bit of embossing with some more distressing. Wanted some "bling" on it so I used sliver brads.

Inky hugs,
Amber

Life is A Journey Card

Hi everyone, it's Anita today and I have a card to share with
more of the new stamps that were released this spring.

I love flamingos - so I was really happy to see on in
the spring release!!

 Nice flamingo, huh? :o)
I have used the following images for my card
All my papers are from Basic Grey, cardstock is Bazzill. I have also used
bling: Recollections, ribbon: Stampin' Up, die: Spell Binders,
punch: Stampin' Up.

I used Stamper's Big Brush Pens from Faber-Castell Design
Memory Craft to ink my stamp. The bling was a big leaf - I cut it into
smaller sections to use here. I used my sewing machine as well
as faux stitching on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Walk into Summer

Good Morning.  It's Lisa with my newest project for Just for Fun.  I am so excited to be able to share my creation with you.  This following sketch is the inspiration for my card.

I started with the white card base.  I cut a mat of bright pink card stock and add to the center of the card front.  I added a piece of yellow ribbon both vertically and horizontal to the card front.  I cut piece of white card stock and stamped Flip Flop 3 (E3620) using Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the image with Copic markers. I then stamped the A Vacation is... (B3669) sentiment at the bottom right edge with Tuxedo Black ink.  I cut a mat for the image out of black card stock.  I then cut a second mat of yellow card stock.  I added the yellow mat to the card front at a random angle.  I attached the stamped and colored image to the black mat and then added to the card front, again at a random angle.  I added Pink Star ink to the swirl design to add a little shimmer.

Having A Rockin' Good Day

This was a fun card to do.  Our challenge this week was to use this wonderful sketch created by one of the Just For Fun design team members and to use some of the news stamps.  Have you seen the new stamps yet?  They are a lot of fun.  Be sure to check them out on the site if you haven't seen them yet or are just wanting another peak at them to help you decide which ones to add to your collection.

For the card, I used a black card stock for the base and added a piece of paper from Authentique onto the top of it.  I adhered it down with a piece of Washi Tape.  The mat behind the stamped image is a piece of yellow card stock with a strip of black c.s. run across it.  I love the new Silhoutte Couple so I decided to have some fun with it and add the horizontal musical note stamp as a background in black ink.  The "Shake It Up" sentiment is one of the new stamps to and was perfect with the dancing couple.  I liked this sketch so much I didn't want to change it much so I decided to just place things at a different angle than shown in the sketch.

Have a rockin' good day everyone!

Seaside Romance

Hello, everyone!  Celine here with another sketch-inspired project.
First I stamped the seascape image and painted it with watercolors.  On a separate sheet, I stamped the Couple Silhouette and cut them out.  I then went over them with a black Sharpie to make them as dark as possible.  I glued them to the background, then built up layers and added embellishments according to the sketch.

What I would give for a day at the beach right now!

How great to do nothing....

Happy Friday! Today I have a card to show you today using the following sketch..

I used stamps from the Spring 2013 release. How great to do nothing... is the sentiment I used. For my main image I used Hammock in Palms. Colored image with copics. Stamped the image again so I could color and cutout just the Palms. Attached them with glue dots to give it more of a 3-D look.

Amber

B Unique

Roni here...

Today I wanted to share my own funky take on a very traditional stamp image....

Just For Fun Rubber Stamp - Wind Swept Palm Silhouette

I colored the stamp using Distress Markers and while I was doing so the idea popped into my head.
I know, it's a bit off the wall but it's a happy thought :)
"B" Unique...."B" Yourself!

So, next time you pick up a stamp, take a second look at it...
an elephant doesn't always need to be grey!

Fun Aloha Card!

Good afternoon stamping friends~!
I hope your weather is as glorious as ours is here-
it is a beautiful spring day here in Dallas- mid 70's and mild
sunshine. Who could ask for more?

The great weather put me in the mood for beaches and so
today I have a fun vacation card to share with you
using another of the new spring release stamps.

My image is the aloha stamp and there are lots of fun
coordinating stamps in the new release as well.
You can check them all out HERE.

My embellishments are from Prima, Maya Road, May Arts and others.

I stamped the image using StazOn and added tiny pearl accents from Kaisercraft.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Have a great day!
