Let Your Heart Have Wings!

When I was a kid I used to dream to be like a bird, flying high and freely in the sky! So when I saw this seagull silhouette stamp I was so excited and made this card, it reminds me of my childhood. :-)

Background created by stenciling cut-out cloud shapes, daubed blue inks around shapes. After that embossed with cloud pattern.

Create mirror image by stamping embossing ink on a plastic and transfer the image on to a white paper. Heat embossed it in clear color and colored image with alcohol blue ink. The pattern on the bird is from JFF's StampTangle Pear Stamp.

Lastly, the perfect sentiment for the card. Let you heart have wings and fly!

Live, Love, Laugh

Good morning and happy Friday!

Ellie here today, it's my turn to share another JFF creation with you! Hope you like it!
This was so much fun to make, although messy. I used a gelli plate and the stamptangle background stamp for my background. After covering the gelli plate with acrylic paints I simply stamped the background onto the gelli plate, and this takes the paint away from the stamped area. Next I applied my card stock over the gelli plate (I used mixed media card stock here) to create my impression.
I don't have green acrylic paint yet, so after I created my background I simply colored over the bottom portion using green gelatos and smoothed it out to create a little grass. I also used the sea oats stamp from JFF to stamp some grass.

Row of houses by JFF were stamped separately, colored with gelatos and fussy cut. Clouds were made using a stencil and some modeling paste. Added the fussy cut sun and cut apart the sentiment to adhere to my card.

Just for Fun Stamps product list:
 Stamptangle Pattern Background
Collaged Row of Houses
  sunny silhouette
Sea Oats
Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet

By the way, the stamps at JFF come in 3 choices, wood mounted, cling mounted and unmounted. If you click on the links above, you will see the price for the wood mounted option, but if you select cling or unmounted, it saves you $$.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Card For Shopaholic

Hello all, it's Alexia here. Today I want to share with you a card that I made using some Just For Fun Stamps. I love this woman shopper silhouette stamp when I first saw it and knew that I had to have it. I was also excited to know Just For Fun has just the perfect title for my card. :-) To be honest, I'm not a shopaholic (except shopping for craft supplies - lol) but I had this picture of my best friend in my mind before I created this, she loves to shop and she is a big fan of the novel "Shopaholic" by Sophie Kinsella. So that's where I got my inspiration from. I hope you like the card. :)

The circles background stamp is also one of my favorites, I love that the stamping area is large enough to cover my entire work surface.

Stamped and cut out boots using same stamp and adhered to card with foam tapes.

Colorful & Happy StampTangle Chicken!

This was such a fun card to make - I stamped the hen using Archival Ink.  Once dry I colored it using Distress Stains in a rainbow of color!  She was fussy cut then mounted on the StampTangle Pattern Block background.  I thought the sentiment fit her perfectly :)

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!!

Seahorse Stamptangle ♥

Happy Friday!

Kelly here ~ and I'm super excited to post my Just For Fun
card as a DT member!

Now I love ALL THINGS of the ocean and beach ♥
When I first saw this seahorse stamp, I literally squealed!

I can't tell you how much fun I had making today's card :)
I used a wonderful technique that I call "white-washing"
and colored the exquisite large
seahorse stamptangle stamp with prismacolor markers.
There are so many coloring mediums on the market right now
but the fun part is to use what you're comfortable with -
guaranteed the end result will be beautiful and fun in the process!

Since I was going for a 'beach' look, I used lots of teal/green/blue
to constrast the stark white of the card background.
I also love to decorate the inside of my cards so I continued
the design there with the stamped sentiment
"Wishing you a day ..."
My kind of day! ♥

Thanks for stopping by today!  Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

And, if you would like to view photos and step by step instructions
on this beachy seahorse stamp,
my blog will have all the supplies and photos that show beginning to end!

Stamping hugs,
~Kelly

Polka Dots and Daisy

I like this happy Daisy image, it's so easy to cut out and makes the card very cheerful!

The daisy is colored with Copic markers, cut out, a black marker colored the edges, it's lightly embossed on the back side and popped up with foam tape attached just under the yellow center and a thin strip under the stem.  I also popped up the large panel and it's stitched on the sewing machine.

Check out the Sentiment 1 word sheet, it has a word or short phrase to cover almost any event and the perfect for card fronts.

Just For You

Hello Everyone! Hope all of you enjoyed the long holiday weekend! Today I'm sharing a card I created with a StampTangle stamp from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps. This pear is definitely one of my favorites! The background was created with some bubble wrap ~ I simply rubbed some distress ink directly on the bubble wrap, spritzed it with water, and pressed it on my paper. I stamped the StampTangle Pear on a separate piece of cardstock, colored it with distress inks, and added it to the card with some foam squares. To finish the card I stamped the Just For You sentiment, and added a few black enamel accents.

Supplies Used:

white cardstock, black cardstock, bubble wrap, distress inks, archival ink, and enamel accents.

Happy Stamping!

Tree Line

It is such an honor to have been chosen for the JFF design team and this is my first card for Just For Fun Rubber Stamps using the image  Tree Line.

The background colors were created with Ranger alcohol inks on glossy paper and the trees were stamped with StazOn.  I trimmed a little off each side of the image for this card panel.  Regular felt was used to apply the black ground area so the loose fibers create the grassy weeds look.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and I hope your day is as peaceful as this scene!
