A "Tweet" Kite Card

Today I have a shaped card to share.  This is a Kite Card that is an easy change from the usual rectangular card.

For the base of this card you start with a 10” x 4” piece of double sided cardstock.  It is scored, folded, and trimmed so it folds into the shape of a kite.  You can use coordinating colors or just the opposite side of the cardstock for the different layers.

For the front image I used the Small House Wren image, lightly adding color with a Copic marker.  It is layered over the Cattails, stamped on white with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  The sentiment is from the Sentiments 1 Unmounted Sheet.

The card folds open, with layered folds, to reveal the sentiment.  I used the Happy Birthday To You, also from the Sentiments 1 Unmounted Sheet.

For embellishments I added a bow, colored with the inks and marker I used, and two little butterflies.  This project comes from Splitcoast Stampers with detailed directions and measurements, along with a video, here.
