Fireflies and Mason Jars

Hi guys, it's Jen from Scrap Shack Designs and I am so excited to bring today's project to you, but before seeing the card I want to remind you that we have a brand new challenge up. Now our challenges run all month long and this month we are focusing on using 2+ stamps on your projects. Now this might be scary to some of you but trust me with the wide variety JFF offers it's actually very simple to do.

Now if you already knew about our new challenge then you might have also seen today's card. However since it's a great card, perfect for summer, I wanted to come on and show you how to recreate it.

Now my card came right off from Pinterest and easily incorporated those JFF stamps into it. I started by inking my background with a variety of purple, yellow, blue, and green inks. Once I had the background the way I wanted it I moved on to making that Mason Jar. For the jar I used the
CJ-Canning Jar Large and stamped it onto some white. I then fussy cut it out and created a shaker with some matching sequins and vellum. To add more fun to the shaker I used the Firefly stamp which I colored in with a yellow Shi Han marker. I also added shimmer to these critters to make them shine a little, you know like a firefly should.

Before I adhered the mason jar I decided to stamp some milkweeds onto the background. I then attached the mason jar along with that embossed "Hello" banner which was made using the Hello stamp set.

This was a really fun challenge to play along with and as I said it's easy to create a card with more than 2 JFF stamps, whether they are made to pair or not. I hope to see your creation this month. Happy Crafting!
