Hi bloggers....Linda posting today.

Since many of you are experiencing frosty conditions of late, here is a card to "celebrate" this event. I am also celebrating the use of glitter on my card but, I'm sad to say, surely doesn't show up as well as the actual art piece.  I will try my best to give you a good idea of the glittered areas. My finished card size is 5 x 7.

Above is the full view of the card. The focal point is the wonderful Crystal Ball G3471, but when you add a wintery scene on the inside it becomes a winter wonderland globe. There is a closer view below but I will tell you how this was made first.  The crystal ball was stamped on white card stock using archival black and versafine smokey gray on the same pad. Then the River's Edge E3072 was stamped over the top (inside). The water was colored just slightly with a blue pencil. Then just the bottom "stand" was stamped on decorative paper and cut out. I also cut out just the ball with the River's Edge E3072 scene inside.

There just had to be a pine forest nearby, so the Tall Evergreen D2939 was stamped about six times using first, second and third generation images of distress ink onto caramel card stock. I tore a piece of white card stock to use as snow for the bottom of the card and covered it with glue and then white glitter. The crystal ball stand was attached to the card front and then the ball sitting on the stand. Glue was added to the largest trees alongside the river and dotted along the shore. Glitter was then sprinkled over.

While this was drying, FROSTY AA2831 was stamped three times and deckle-cut. The three words were then popped up on the frnt of the card.

Oops, there is also some glue/glitter that landed on the tall evergreens in the front too :)  The entire card was spritzed with Perfect Pearl mist to finish off the "frosty" look.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest inspiration!
