Wishing You Cards

The weather is getting warmer on my side and it reminds me of beaches and tropical breezes! From where I came from, we have a lot of palm trees near where we lived (it's almost like we were surrounded by palm trees) - miss my childhood. I'm very happy when I received this stamp so I can't wait but to make this cute little card so I can feel home again.

For this card I masked out part of the image on the stamp to get the way I wanted it. I colored the image using my Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers.

The second card is this little cute Happy Birthday card, the flower vase is die-cut from die-namites and the sentiments are from JFF!

I hope you enjoy my cards above, I hope to see you here soon! Thank you for visiting the blog today! - Alexia

Happy Memorial Day!!

Hi there!!!!
Its me, Kim B, Gypsy Angel, here!
I just wanted to share this sweet picture of my pup who is turning 5 this month.
My little Neptune, my little friend and companion.  5 years old :)
Now for the fun, my card was made with this fabulous stamptangle background stamp.
I love this background!! So many ways to use it, like art journaling, mixed media canvas and of course all the different colors you could use for card making.  I will try it with a solid color also.

Couple Silhouette

Good Morning and Happy Friday!
Fourth Friday of the month already, and that means it's my turn (Ellie) to share a creation with you. I hope you like it!

I inked up some new to me stamps today, along with an older favorite, to create this card. The stamp links are all on the bottom of this post.

I was going to heat emboss the main image, but after trying several times, and just kept getting embossing powder elsewhere on the card (although I used an embossing buddy), I simply used versafine onyx ink to stamp the image.

I masked the circle using a diecut circle, and then inked using distress ink. I used the background stamps before removing the circle, as I wanted it to be just white.
Designer paper is from DCWV, I had it forever, so I don't know anymore which stack it's from. Sentiment is also from JFF. I embellished with some sticky rhinestones to finish off the card.

You can find the JFF Rubber Stamps here:
Main image: Couple Silhouette,
Background stamps: Ironwork Sketch, Tempo (music note), Michelanglo script

JFF has a sale going on a the moment, but it ends soon!
And don't forget, these stamps are available in wood mounted, cling mounted or unmounted rubber.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your weekend, and
Happy Stamping!!

Border Images

All three cards were created using the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps -  4 sided Background block 3 RB7008 and sentiments from Sentiments 1 UMS7018.
The image  Webbed and Spattered Background J2209 was stamped on the second card's white and blue panels and the third card's lavender panel.

This is solid image and the rubber was colored with Memento Markers and stamped, then inked up with VersaMark and heat embossed with clear powder.

The grid design was then added using Ranger - Shaded Lilac distress ink and Memory Box stencil.

Spattering was created using Ranger Distress Spray Stains - Shaded Lilac.

The flowers were colored with Chameleon Pens, cut out, edges colored with a Memento - Tuxedo
Black marker, dry embossed with a metal stylus and popped up on the card with foam squares.

The border was cut using an Xacto knife with  Perfect Layers mini, and  Perfect Cutting Mat.
The corner is punched with Making Memories corner chopper.

Scribbling were made with Chameleon Pens (BL3, BL6, BV4) then stamped with spatters image from the 4 Sided-Background Block using Memento - Summer Sky.  Then the panel was misted with alcohol and let dry.  Once dry it was spattered with Ranger Distress Spray Stains - Salty Ocean, Broken China, Faded Jeans then stamped with the images using StazOn - Jet Black.

1/16" holes were punched to add the brads at the corner of all the larger squares.

A Signo white gel pen was used to add dots around the sentiment.

The borders were cut using an Xacto knife with  Perfect Layers mini, and  Perfect Cutting Mat.

The watercolor rainbow was created using Color Burst and water on watercolor paper.

The distressed grid was created using a Crafters Workshop stencil and Ranger Acrylic Paint - white.

Spattering was created using Ranger Distress Spray Stains - Picket Fence.

Enamel Dots are from Eyelet Outlet and Brads.

The borders were cut using an Xacto knife with  Perfect Layers mini, and  Perfect Cutting Mat.

It's Your Day!

What's your favorite card to make? For me it's birthday card, I think it's because it good for all year round! I always make a couple at one time so I will never run out of them. Today I use this presents stamps from JFF to make this birthday card, the present silhouettes are so beautiful you can make any color of present you want! And comes with the bow stamps too! All you have to do is ink and match!

Here is my take on the stamps, I can't tell you how cute they are. The only thing I would change is the color of the bow, I couldn't find the perfect gold I want! I misted the top of the background and added sequins embellishments. And don't forget, you can always combine with other sentiment stamps to form one complete sentiment such as one that read as "It's your day, Happy Birthday!". No rules! :)

Does this card catches your eyes? Check out the stamps below to make your own card!

Modern Dragonfly

Happy Friday!
Ellie here today to share my newest JFF creation with you! Hope you like it :-)

I used one of JFF's beautiful dragonflies for my focal point.
The dragonfly was stamped onto mixed media card stock, colored with watercolors and then fussy cut. For the background I used one of JFF's newer frames, masked the edges off after stamping it, and watercolored the center. I used one of the script stamps for the words inside the square.

The sketch is pretty simple. I just adhered my mixed media rectangle onto blue card stock, added the strips of designer paper and paper pierced. Glitter was added to the dragonfly.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Deer among Birch

Roxie here and this is my second creation using the Color Burst watercolor pigments which really makes watercolor easy.

The images were heat embossed with ultra fine black powder and for the deer I covered the stamp with VersaMark and black ink over the top to help avoid white spaces after embossing but I did get a few and used a Sharpie black marker to fill in.

I placed a small amount of Color Burst in a plastic painter's pallet, picked it up with a wet brush and placed it on the already wet watercolor paper with no concern if it ventured onto the tree trunks however when needed the heat embossing helps stop the flow of water and color.
