Holiday Magic

Hi everyone I'm sharing two new cards using some great stamps available from the store to create my cards.
As we get closer to Christmas, if you have a lot of cards to create, consider using a large focal stamp such as the Large Snow Pine as your main image.  This stamp is approximately 4" tall and takes center stage on your cards.

Each Large Snow Pine was stamped with Imagine Moonlight  White Ink and white embossing powder.  The left over embossing powder around the image just adds to the snowy effect.

The cards were created from black cardstock with a layer of pattern paper and wrapped with ribbon.  The panel was then edged with white ink and adhered to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Holiday Magic is from Sentiments 3, a set of 20 different stamps for all your crafting needs.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is right around the corner! This is designer April wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! I used a brand new turkey stamp called Wild Turkey.

I colored the turkey using colored pencils, fussy cut it and pop dotted it to the background. The background was made by using a weave embossing folder and then swiping the raised areas with brown ink. I cut the leaves using the Memory Box Fresh Foliage die, cut from an inked background. I stamped the saying on the Spellbinders Fancy Tag die and sponged brown ink on the edges. The background was layered on red and brown card stock.

I hope that you will join in this month's challenge -- the theme is to use red, orange and brown on your project. You might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Clean & Simple Stamptangle Leaf

Hello from design team member, Heidi.  Autumn has been a few weeks late where I live, so we still have glorious color well into November.  I do fear we might be raking when it is rather cold, though!

Today, I am sharing this clean and simple design using a Stamptangle Leaf.  I heat embossed this in gold and then used regular Distress Inks to add color with a blending tool.  I first tried this with the Distress Oxides, but found that I got a more brilliant color when using the regular Distress inks.

I cut a circle in my card front and then embossed the white cardstock behind that with a wood grain embossing folder.  The very cute sentiment was added and a little twine bow.  I am very pleased with the Clean and Simple look.

The stamps I used can be found in the JFF online store.

Don’t forget about our November Challenge!

Have a crafty day!

Happy Halloween!

Hello and Happy Halloween from all of us at Just for Fun Rubber stamps.  Design Team member, Heidi, here today, sharing one last Halloween card.

I stamped the *new* Bat Bouquet stamp 4 times to make a wreath. It really was easy to do this without any stamp positioner or anything, but you could use one if you prefer.  I used purple distress oxide ink and spritzed it with water before stamping to get some extra texture. I then stamped the Silhouette Witch, Large and heat embossed her with black.

At first, I tried this without heat embossing, but over the oxide ink, you could see the ghosting of the bat image through the witch (and however Halloween-y that is, I didn’t prefer that look).  I finished the card off with the popped up sentiment and the sparkley gems. I am so pleased with this card.  It is a non-standard size, and would also make a cute wall hanging.

Thank you for visiting the JFF blog today!  Have a safe and Happy Halloween, and be sure to enter any last minute Halloween projects in our challenge by 9 pm EST.

Halloween Greetings

Halloween is around the corner, with a night full of spooks and goblins.  Check out this cutie, sneaking through the woods.

I used one of the upcoming images and heat embossed it in white on dark blue cardstock.  The image was stamped again in black, colored with colored pencils, and fussy cut.  This was layered on top of the 1st image, leaving a spooky white outline around the image.  The Cluster of Stalks was stamped in black on top of it.

The Halloween Greetings sentiment (Sentiments 1 Unmounted Sheet) was heat embossed at the top and black ink sponged around the outer edges.  This card front was layered on orange, black, and white.

Have a fun Halloween and be safe!

Trick or Treat

Thanks for stopping by today. As you already know I simply LOVE Halloween and with it being this weekend I figured why not post another wonderful Halloween Just for Fun card. If you have not stopped by the shop to check out all of the beautiful Holiday stamps that Just For Fun offers then head on over there right now, I promise I will wait for you to return.

This wonderful and very square card uses one of the JFF cubed Halloween Stamps which was colored in using watercolor pencils. I used a lot of layers on this card including the distressed purple layer and the wonderful designer series paper from Echo Park. The stamped image was layered onto a gold doily to create more focus and allow the smaller sized stamp to stand out against a larger background.

Thanks so much for checking out my card today.

Happy Halloween!

Hi, it is designer April here. Are you ready for the little ghosts and goblins coming on Halloween? We only have about 4 or 5 to come to our door. I wish we had more! I love seeing the little ones dressed up in their cute costumes.

I have used two brand new fun stamps that will be up on the web site soon! I colored the image using alcohol markers, fussy cut it and pop dotted it to the card. The background is some fun Halloween paper I had in my stash. I also stamped the bat twig stamp beside the image. I made black goop on the patterned paper by using a Martha Stewart punch!

You still have a few days to join in our Halloween challenge. A random chosen winner will receive a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Halloween!

Halloween Scarecrow

Happy Thursday!

Halloween is almost here!  I'm getting the last minute Spooktacular cards finished and mailed out. Last week I attended the Sacramento Stamp and Scrapbook expo crop where all I did was stamp and color.  I hate dragging tons of supplies to crops so I tried to keep it simple this year.
Just for Fun Stamp. Club Scrap papers. American Craft ribbon. Unknown washi tape. Crafter's Square title Copic markers.

This scarecrow is a new addition to the Halloween selection of stamps at Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.

There is still time to share your artwork in our Halloween Challenge. We would love to see your creations!

Dream Girl

Hi everyone I'm sharing a new card using some great stamps available from the store to create my card.

I used Dream Girl, stamping her with black ink and coloring her with Copic Markers.  She was die cut, matted with a larger die and added to a pink and green card.  Because of the words in her hair, I kept the card simple.

Thanks for stopping by.

Portrait of a Tiny Black Kat

I whipped up a spooky Halloween tag for today's post!

Don't you love the portrait of the Tiny Black Kat

It's been awhile since I've gotten messy with my Gel Press. I tried something new to me and it worked! I rolled some black paint onto my press with a brayer and pressed my Spider Web Cuttlebug embossing folder onto the ink and made a print.

I ended up covering up most of my printed background with other techniques, but the ghost-like spider web image was kinda eerie! I added some texture to the print with some Versamark ink and a damask print stencil and heat embossed with copper foil embossing powder. I distressed the lace with some Black Soot Distress ink as well as the tips of the felt roses. I found the number stickers in my stash and added some ribbon.

Here are a few more past samples of cards and tags I've made using the Tiny Black Kat...
