Your Friendship is Special Card

Hi everyone I've got a new card to share using some great stamps from the store to create my card.

I've used the Peacock Feather stamping it in 2 colors of ink, reversing the stamp for the 2nd image.  The panel was matted with red and blue cardstock to coordinate with the stamped images.

I've used the Your Friendship stamp, stamping it in black ink.  It was also matted with the same cardstock colors, then added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy To "Sea" You!

It is Monday and my day to share with you.  Just For Fun’s StampTangle Tri-Circle Block has three circles that make great windows for images and sayings.  It also is perfect for a shaker card.  I inked this stamptangle image with three different Distress Ink colors, though the variation in colors is very subtle in the pictures.

After fussy cutting and cutting out the circle windows, a piece of clear acetate was adhered to the back.  This was popped up with foam tape over a white rectangle, stamped with the Happy to Sea You sentiment and run through a bubble embossing folder.  Extra foam tape was placed all around the top circle to create a small shaker window.  This was layered on brightly striped cardstock from Graphic 45’s Sun Kissed collection.

The Stamptangle Fancy Fish (Small) was stamped twice with Paris Dusk Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers.  These were fussy cut and adhered to the card front.

Enjoy your week and don’t forget there is still time to join our June Monthly Challenge with the theme of “Shaped Cards”.

I'm a Little Teapot

Hi Everyone! It is designer April here today from Stampwilly Designs. I suppose you remember the children's song - "I'm a Little Teapot." I was reminded of it when making this card. The challenge here this month is to make a shaped card, so I chose to make a teapot card.

I used patterned paper from my stash and sponged Vintage Photo Distress ink around the edges of the teapot. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the Brushed Floral stamp and added it to the teapot. I also pop dotted another flower to the top of the original one for dimension. The saying is from the Sentiments 3 unmounted sheet.

You still have a few more days left to enter the challenge. I hope to see you there!

Have a wonderful day!

Birch Trees...

Hi ya peeps! I am enjoying a sunny day and watching the new leaves gently blowing in the wind. We have silver Birch trees and they are so pretty to look at. I made a card using a neat birch tree stamp from JFFRS!

This neat stamp is called Birch Trees and is available in the JFFRS store now. For my card, I wanted a forrest feel so I used a green pen to draw in tall grasses and flowers around the trees.I love how it turned out. Spring By the Lake Silhouette

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  Today, I have two pretty sympathy cards to share with you.

The first card was stamped over top of a background I made on watercolor paper.  It is easy to make.  Just paint loosely with watercolor paints and then throw some table salt on it before it dries.  It gives a very pretty texture.  I did add a black frame to my stamped image before applying it to my card base.

While I was making cards, I thought I ought to make two.  For this one, I just found a sheet of pretty patterned paper to stamp on and I applied this over a light pink card.

You can buy the stamps I used today in the Just for Fun store.  Most of the stamps are availabe in wood-mount, cling-mount or unmounted!  You get to choose!

Spring By the Lake Silhouette can be found HERE!
Sentiment is part of Unmounted Sentiments 1 Sheet HERE!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog!  I hope you will leave a comment so we will know that you were here.  Have a great day!

Split Silhouette

E. Marie here to share an easy silhouette card.  Just For Fun has so many great silhouette images and today I used the Dolphins-Palm Silhouette.  It was stamped in black and I love to use my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform with these solid stamps.  You can stamp it several times to get a dark, crisp image.  It was cut into three rectangles, splattered and distressed, and layered on white rectangles.

The background layer was created by smooshing white cardstock into various spritzed Distress Oxide Inks on a craft mat.  After this dried, it was die cut with an old Spellbinders’ Frame Die.  The three image rectangles were layered on top of this.

Have a great week.

"Owl"somely Sweet!

The JFF June 2018 Challenge is still going strong, so I'm sharing another shaped card!

It's been a loooooong time since I've used my Cricut Expression and this challenge was the perfect time to dust it off and make something crafty. I used the owl image from the Wild Card cartridge and cut the blackout option.

I cut the liner image for the eyes and freehanded the rest.

I gave the eyes a little "oomph" with the Stamptangle Tall Pumpkin stamp and some gold embossing powder...

and finished it off with the You're So Sweet wording stamp.

Check out the June 2018 Challenge post and join us for a chance to win a gift certificate from JFF Stamps!

Multi-Color Stamped Sea Turtle

Hello Friends!  It's so nice to have fun tools to help you with art and today I wanted to share how I made this multi-colored sea turtle scene.

Trim a piece of white cardstock a bit smaller than an A2 card.

Place the card panel into a stamp positioner (like a Misti or similar tool).

Center the stamp on the card panel face down on the panel, close the lid of the positioner and open. Your stamp should now be affixed to the lid.

Ink the turtle portion of the image with desired color then stamp.

Now it's time to have fun. I like using my Memento Dew Drop Ink Pads for this technique as you can add ink in smaller areas than you can with larger pads.  Select desired color of ink and dab it onto portions of the image and stamp.

Repeat with one or more additional colors until the entire image has been stamped on the card.

The results will be a very colorful fun card!

Hope this has inspired you to play a little with your stamp positioner!

Happy Anniversary Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here again today and I've used some great stamps from the store to create my cards.

I wanted to create some classic anniversary cards so I pulled out my stash of black, white and gray elements and some Just For Fun Rubber Stamps and got to work.

This paper was torn from a spiral book and I added a stamped panel to the center using the Michelanglo Background Stamp.

The card was created from gray cardstock and some gray and white pattern paper.  I added a large folded flower to the stamped panel, added a smaller black flower and added the sentiment from Sentiments 1 Unmounted Sheet.with a floral brad.  Then the panel was added to the card with foam adhesives.

The next card takes another page from the spiral book which I then matted with black cardstock and fussy cut.  I stamped the Michelanglo Background Stamp directly on the panel and fussy cut it.  It was then added to the card with foam adhesives.

The sentiment is also from Sentiments 1 Unmounted Sheet. It was die cut, matted with a larger oval and then added to the panel with foam adhesives

Thanks for stopping by.

Not all Who Wander

Hi Guys DT Jen here with a really fun card. As many of you know I live in Upstate NY and right now is the perfect time for camping, which may be what inspired this card.

For this card I decided to use the Round Camper stamp which I colored in with alcohol markers and then fussy cut out. To add some more interest to the card I popped this camper piece up using 3-D foam tape.

For the background of the card I used the Fir Trees stamp which I stamped in a green ink. I then stamped the Not All Who Wander are Lost sentiment stamp onto some white paper and matted it onto the forest green.

Finally I accented with some flower sequins and rounded the corners.

Thanks so much fro stopping by today. For more inspiration or to see more of my projects you can come over and visit my blog. See you back here soon and Happy Crafting!

A Bouquet of Wishes

Hello, it is designer April here again. I hope you are having a good day. I made another shaped card, this time using a flowerpot shape. I stamped, colored and fussy cut these pretty Cone Daisies to add to the pot.

I used a leaf punch for the leaves and the saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet. I cut the saying in half so that it would fit on the tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by. The challenge this month is to make a shaped card. We would love to see your cards. I hope you will join in the fun.

Have a great day!

Hi ya peeps! I am enjoying a sunny day and watching the birds return from their winter exile. My feeders and full and I love all my feathery little visitors. Here is my make for the first week of June.

This neat stamp is called Bird House Row and is available in the JFFRS store now. For my card, I wanted a lake front feel so I used a sky background paper and then added a wavy blue paper to simulate a lake in the background. I love how it turned out. Father’s Day - Surf’s Up Card

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I have a card idea to share with you for Father’s Day.  I noticed that a lot of my patterned paper pads have these sheets that are all words.   Instead of using them in a scrapbook, I thought of my silhouette stamps.

I used the stamp called Surf’s Up.  I think any dad would feel sentimental about time spent playing with their children after looking at this scene.

You can buy the stamps I used to make this card in the Just for Fun Store!  Most stamps are available as wood-mount, cling-mount, or even unmounted - you choose your preference!

Surf’s Up is found HERE!
Unmounted Sentiment Sheet 1 is found HERE!

Dream Girl: water-colored

Welcome back and Happy June! It's hard to believe that it's June already, am I right?! It's Jen, from Scrap Shack Designs, and today I have a beautiful stamp and a beautiful card to show you.

So for the image, Dream Girl, I simply took some watercolor pencils and a blender pen and I colored in that beautiful image. I found that the watercolor pencils work best when I color the heaviest on the top then use the blender pen to drag the color to the lighter areas. This is one of my favorite stamps and as you can see the details/story in the hair is simply beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my project.

Father's Day is right around the corner and I found a fun Hawaiian shirt card design by Tami White on Pinterest and whipped one up for myself!

I used the JFF Dolphins and Palms Silhouette stamp to decorate the front of my Hawaiian shirt!

I added some faux stitiching, "buttons", and a little rhinestone starfish for bling!

There's even room inside to write a little something. A shirt fit for a king..."King of the Couch" of course!

The new JFF  Shaped Cards challenge started yesterday!
