Happy Monday, D/T member Jen here with a wonderful Fall Thank You card.
You know, one of the most awesome things about being part of such a wonderful JFF Design Team is the ability to create with all of their stamps and every couple of months we as the DT receive our favorite stamps in the mail. I love this happiest of happy mail days and I wanted to mention that because today I am going to show off one of my new favorite fall stamps.
This stamp is part of the "Leaves and Trees" family of stamps and of course offers that Just For Fun detail that only their stamps have. Seriously, this stamp was so easy to color and shade in because the stamp itself holds all of the details, the only thing you really need to do is color and blend.
To create that background I used the "Random Stamping" technique. For this technique you simply stamp in a triangular pattern, using an ink color that was slightly darker than my cardstock, to create a "random" effect on the background. Make sure to stamp some off the paper to add an even more "random" feel.
I then took that same stamp and stamped it multiple times onto a piece of white, using a green ink. After I fussy cut out the leaves I colored them in using watercolor pencils and my blender pen. I adhered them all together then tied a twine around it.
Once this piece was attached to the kraft front, using glue dots, I then attached the front to the card base.
I do not have many "title" dies so a while back I cut out a whole bunch of sentiments onto white cardstock using basic fonts in Cricut Design Space. I took 2-3 of the "thanks" ones and adhered them on top of each other, this gave the sentiment a little height.
Finally I accessorized using little green and brown foil leaves. I got these in a swap but I am pretty sure its a sort of thanksgiving table confetti (...who knows but it's great for this card!)
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project.
