Subtle Wedding - Sentiment Focus

Hi guys! Jen here today to show you a great way to get some excellent use out of your sentiment stamps. Today's post is going to be short and sweet since today is my first day home with my newborn, but I do want to make it worth your visiting time.

Just For Fun has some excellent sentiment stamps and if you want to get some great use out of them you could stick them on the inside of your card, or perhaps even create a card where the sentiment is the focal point, like my card today.

This beautiful sentiment is called Special Couple and again is one of many of the great sentiment quote stamps that JFF offers.

Since this is a wedding card I focused on very light, glittery colors and of course one of my favorite papers vellum, which I used behind the sentiment. I tried to heat emboss this but it was not coming out the way that I wanted so I settled on simply stamping it with some slate ink and letting that gorgeous font do all the work, which is does! The card could have been easily left with just the sentiment but I ended up finishing it off with some wonderful white glitter flowers from Martha Stewart.

Don't be afraid to replace a stamped image with a wonderful sentiment, especially when the sentiment has an excellent font like so many of the JFF stamps do. Thanks so much for stopping by today and please make sure to come on over and play along with the monthly challenge which is all about School.

  1. What a beautiful wedding card with those subtle and warm colors! Congrats on the birth of your new baby!! I hope you have fun watching him/her grow up, but don't blink or it will happen practically overnight :)

  2. What an elegant card! Love the flower layers with a simple touch of bling. Beautiful.
