Pine Forest Cards

Hi everyone I'm sharing two new cards using some great stamps available from the store.

I used the Pine Forest stamp which, at 4 1/2" wide, is perfect for the front of a card.  For the background, I used  paper that I had spritzed with assorted colors of Fireworks! Shimmery Craft Sprays.   I inked the stamp directly with shades of green and brown, then stamped in on the background.

The stamped panel was matted with 2 colors of green cardstock.

The sunset sentiment was stamped on a left over scrap and also matted with 2 colors of green cardstock before being added to the card with foam adhesives.

Here's another version of the card with a slightly different background and a different sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

Autumn Greetings

With all the Black Friday craziness, everyone around me is moving on with Christmas prep.  I am still enjoying my turkey and the lovely fall look surrounding my neighborhood.  Before I move on I have one more fall card to share.

I have had the thought and design of this card in the back of my mind for a while and finally created it.  The new Modern Leaf was stamped repeatedly with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink on cream cardstock, then added to layers of brown and gold.  The same image was heat embossed in gold on fall colors of cardstock and fussy cut.  These were tucked around the Autumn Greetings sentiment, from the The Seasons Word Block, and at the bottom.

Love the simplicity of this card with the pop of color.

Christmas Is Near!

Hi, it is designer April here. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! I want to show you a card I made with a brand new Christmas tree stamp called Skinny Tree.

I stamped the tree six times on different patterned papers, leaving the trunk on the middle one. I fussy cut them and adhered them to the card. The "snow" at the bottom of the card was made by using a swirl punch. I added silver star stickers on the top of each tree.

There is still time to join in this month's challenge, using red, orange and brown colors. We hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

BeYoutiful

Happy Thanksgiving my crafty friends!

I hope you are having an amazing day surrounded by family and friends.

I've recently been rediscovering my distress oxide inks and their potential to create some magnificent backgrounds. I first created this panel by dipping my paper into the brown and yellow inks pooled on my craft mat.
Just for Fun stamp. Ellen Hutson die. Club Scrap papers and ribbon. Pan Pastels. Ranger oxide inks.

Stamp the wheat spray three times without re-inking to create some soft sprays. Adhere die cut title. Flick gold Pan Pastels on art panel with paintbrush and water. Create a three part bow and attach to card front.

There is still time to share your artwork in our Color Challenge.
We would love to see your creations!

Turkey Thanksgiving Card

Hello from design team member, Heidi! I would like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all of our American readers and share with you my Thanksgiving card.

I colored the *new* Wild Turkey stamp with pencils. It was fun to decide what colors and patterns to use in the feathers.  I then layered some die cuts over my pumpkin patterned paper and added the sentiment and a few gems.

Hope you have time for stamping during this busy holiday season!

Thanks - Harvest Bundle Card

I love the Fall season and everything that comes with it, including the wonderful holiday season! Jen here today and I wanted to show you an awesome card using a beautiful fall stamp called "Harvest Bundle."

I chose to keep this card simple because the image was so lovely and I did not want it to get lost in the design. After I stamped the image with a "Desert Sand" colored ink I decided to color it in using the ever so subtle watercolor pencils. Watercolor pencils are excellent for anyone new to coloring because you really can't make a mistake with them. While I am still newish at coloring I have found that if you outline the image with the colored pencil and then take your blending pen and drag the color to the rest of the image you get some amazing, and super easy, shading effects.

After I had the image colored in I layered it onto some orange pattern paper. I then tied some twine around the length of the card and added a "thanks" which I simply cut out onto white paper using my Cricut.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to join us in our monthly challenge using the colors Red, Orange, and Brown.

Christmas Cardinal

Wouldn't this make a fantastic Christmas card paired with some holiday sentiments?

JFF Stamps Large Cardinal and Birch Trees stamp images

I've picked a few sentiment stamp images from the store for inspiration for future cards.

This one is just a beautiful quote and so comforting to those who have lost loved ones, especially during the holiday season.

I encourage you to visit the store and check out the awesome selection of seasonal stamps and make some handmade cards to share this holiday season. Holiday Magic

Hi everyone I'm sharing two new cards using some great stamps available from the store to create my cards.
As we get closer to Christmas, if you have a lot of cards to create, consider using a large focal stamp such as the Large Snow Pine as your main image.  This stamp is approximately 4" tall and takes center stage on your cards.

Each Large Snow Pine was stamped with Imagine Moonlight  White Ink and white embossing powder.  The left over embossing powder around the image just adds to the snowy effect.

The cards were created from black cardstock with a layer of pattern paper and wrapped with ribbon.  The panel was then edged with white ink and adhered to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Holiday Magic is from Sentiments 3, a set of 20 different stamps for all your crafting needs.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is right around the corner! This is designer April wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! I used a brand new turkey stamp called Wild Turkey.

I colored the turkey using colored pencils, fussy cut it and pop dotted it to the background. The background was made by using a weave embossing folder and then swiping the raised areas with brown ink. I cut the leaves using the Memory Box Fresh Foliage die, cut from an inked background. I stamped the saying on the Spellbinders Fancy Tag die and sponged brown ink on the edges. The background was layered on red and brown card stock.

I hope that you will join in this month's challenge -- the theme is to use red, orange and brown on your project. You might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Clean & Simple Stamptangle Leaf

Hello from design team member, Heidi.  Autumn has been a few weeks late where I live, so we still have glorious color well into November.  I do fear we might be raking when it is rather cold, though!

Today, I am sharing this clean and simple design using a Stamptangle Leaf.  I heat embossed this in gold and then used regular Distress Inks to add color with a blending tool.  I first tried this with the Distress Oxides, but found that I got a more brilliant color when using the regular Distress inks.

I cut a circle in my card front and then embossed the white cardstock behind that with a wood grain embossing folder.  The very cute sentiment was added and a little twine bow.  I am very pleased with the Clean and Simple look.

The stamps I used can be found in the JFF online store.

Don’t forget about our November Challenge!

Have a crafty day!
