Sending "Hedge-hugs"!

I always need a few "thank you" notes on hand. The traditional notes are fine, but as a card maker I like to take it up a notch! I used two JFF Stamp images and a sentiment stamp on my card AND added a "lace" embellishment for the monthly challenge. I feel so accomplished! 😊

Club Scrap In Bloom card stock and floral gem embellishments. JFF Stamp images.

I colored the Hedgehog Topiary stamp with multiple coordinating colors of Faber Castell Big Brush markers and used the Marker to Stamp Technique.

The Stamptangle Leaf Flourish added a nice border.

I inked the leaf stamp with Memento New Sprout ink and stamped using a Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. Then I added some Memento Bamboo Leaf ink to the stamp in a few key areas, for shading and contrast, and stamped again. I also inked the edges of the card stock and purposely added some heavier inking underneath the topiary image to look like grass. I used a Swiss Dot Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked the raised dots with Bamboo Leaf ink as well. Lastly, I stamped the You're So Sweet sentiment stamp on blue card stock using Club Scrap's white pigment ink. I punched a strip of coordinating card stock with a lace border punch from my stash and attached to the focal image panel.

The April monthly challenge will end on Monday May 6. Add some lace to your project and join us for a chance to win a gift certificate from JFF Stamps!

We now have a JFF Stamps fan group on Facebook! It's a great place where JFF fans can come together to chat and share their JFF Stamp creations. Come check it out!

Thanks Background Card

Hi everyone Steph sharing a new card using some great stamps available from the store to create my card.

I created a background using assorted colors of Fireworks! Shimmery Sprays from Imagine.

Using various Thank You stamps from Sentiments 1 and Sentiments 3, I aligned them on an acrylic block and stamped them on the panel with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I continued until the panel was fully stamped.

Next, I matted the panel with kraft cardstock and wrapped it with ribbon.  Twine was then tied around the ribbon.

After adhering the panel to a blue card, I added another die cut phrase in the lower corner.

Thanks for stopping by.

He Has Risen...

What a lovely weekend for Easter.  We hope you had a special time with family and friends.  I spent mine laid up due to knee surgery but was inspired to make it into my craft room and make this card to share.

The Easter Cross was heat embossed in white on a piece of cardstock and a piece of vellum.  The one on the cardstock was fussy cut and layered behind the one on the vellum.  This was all layered on top of light blue and a white die cut oval window placed over this.  The He Has Risen sentiment was stamped on a piece of vellum and layered across the center and blue pearls added to the corners.

Have a great week.

Gingham Ribbons

Hello from design team member, Heidi! I would like to wish all of you who celebrate, a Happy Easter!

As I have already sent out all my Easter cards, I thought I would go with something a bit festive today, but that could be used for an every day card.  I decided on gingham!  JFF has a lovely set of ribbon stamps and one of them is a cute gingham check.  So I stamped this out in 5 pretty pastel shades and just cut them out with scissors.

I arranged them on my card and then added some butterflies!  I was really pleased how springy this looked!

The stamped I used can be found in the Just for Fun Online store.

Happy Easter

Hi! It is April here wishing you a Happy Easter! This card goes right along with the challenge for this month, to use lace on your card.

I used one of our new stamps, Floral Wreath, and colored it using Zig watercolor markers. I then ran the card through a dotted swiss embossing folder. I stamped the Love U Bunnies, colored them with alcohol markers, fussy cut them and pop dotted them to the card. The saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet. Yellow lace borders were added to the bottom of the card.

You still have some time to join in the challenge. You might even win a gift certificate to the store!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a blessed Easter!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  I'm still playing with the background webbed and splatter stamp from Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.  The possibilities are endless with this big gem and I wanted to create a cracked egg effect for this card.
Just for Fun rubber stamps. Club Scrap papers. Ranger inks. Sizzix embossing folder. Pretty Pink Posh sequins. Cricut eggs.

Just for Fun Happy Easter
Just for Fun Tweet Sentiments 3

Create a background panel using distress oxide inks and let dry. Stamp the background stamp to add cracks and splatters. Die cut several "eggs" from the background panel. Emboss yellow mat and tie ribbon around. Stamp greetings on paper flag and bottom of card base. Add sequins.

There's still time to link up your projects for our Lace Challenge

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Even the most unpleasant of things, in this case the heavy rains of April, can bring about very enjoyable things indeed – an abundance of flowers in May!

American Beauties and Sweet Birthday Wishes  JFF stamp images. Club Scrap card stock from the April In Bloom page kit.

I tried a fun  cut up stamping technique featured on Jennifer McGuire's YouTube channel. It's such an easy technique with a big punch!

Happy Easter Card

Hi everyone Steph here sharing a new card using some great stamps available from the store to create my card.

I stamped the Easter Cross in black ink and then embossed it.  After coloring the image with Copic Markers, I fussy cut it.

The background was created using the Basket Weave stamp with distress ink.  I wanted the background to be subtle and not detract from the beauty of the cross.

The stamped panel was matted with kraft cardstock then added to a green card.  A large oval was added to the card and the cross was added with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by.

Peeps Easter

Easter is sneaking up on us and two of my favorite candies are in the stores – black jelly beans and bunny Peeps.  How can I help but love the Marshmallow Bunnies images?

The Bunnies were stamped on different designer papers and fussy cut.  After adding a little shading, these were added to the front of the layered card.

The “happy easter” sentiment from the Sentiments 1 Unmounted Sheet was added above the baby bunnies.

Have a wonderful week.

Kayaking Card - Shaving Cream background

Hello from design team member, Heidi!  I had been making Shaving Cream Backgrounds a while back, and this one looked like swirling river rapids to me.   I wanted to use this with this great kayak stamp!

The tutorial to follow for the backgrounds is found here.  It is really not hard, and you will want to make a whole pile of backgrounds.

April Showers

Hi, it is April here today. We all know the saying "April showers bring May flowers." We have had so much rain through the Winter and Spring here in South Carolina, that the trees and flowers started blooming in early February! I have made a card that goes right along with all this rain we have had.

I just love this silhouette stamp called Rainy Walk In The Wildflowers. I made the background by sponging oxide inks through a birch trees stencil, then pressing a wet paper towel over the stencil to lift off the ink. The girl and the saying were stamped over top. The saying is from the Sentiments 1 unmounted sheet. I also added metallic sticker raindrops for interest. You can click here to see many more fun silhouette stamps that the store offers.

We are also having a challenge and we hope hat you will join in. The challenge is to add lace to your card. I would love to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

JFF March 2019 Theme Challenge - "Movement"

Design Team member, E. Marie here with a new challenge for the month of March. The challenge theme is “Movement”! Something on your card should wiggle, jiggle, slide, roll, flip or fold.

There are so many different ways you can create movement on a card that it was hard for me to decide what I wanted to do. I decided on a Waterfall Card.

I have always thought they look so fun but have never made one before. This was my chance. I chose a beach theme (Just For Fun has so many stamps for this) but you can use any theme and it really is a lot easier to make than it looks. You can find a complete Waterfall Card tutorial for one here.
