Make Your Own Sunshine

Hi Guys! Jen here again from Scrap Shack Designs. Today I decided to grab my Just for Fun stamps and make a "sympathy" or more of a "get well" card that would be perfect for a friend in need of some cheering up.

I love the design of this card and wish that I could have captured it better. The front outside corner folds down creating a really fun "peek-a-boo" aspect to the card. After I folded down the corner I decided to layer and mat my image to really draw the focus up to that beautiful Floral Tea Cup stamp from JFF. This stamp is colored in using alcohol markers. I wanted to image to be bold and really stand out. I then decided that the Stamptangle Sideview Butterfly would be a wonderful complement to those flowers. I simply stamped this with blank ink onto orange cardstock. I finished off the card with a sentiment sticker (intended for a planner) and some black enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my project. If you loved this project feel free to stop on over to my online studio and say "Hello!" I am always sharing inspirational projects and tutorials.

Cheers!

For Him and Her

Roxie here to show you an idea for a masculine card or for anyone that loves lighthouses.  This image colors up quickly and the sky could always be changed to sponging to make it even quicker and it goes well with the simple layout.  I hope I inspired you today!

Images: Just For Fun Rubber Stamps - Lighthouse

Coloring: Chameleon Pens: Lighthouse - CG8, RD4 and a white Sakura gel pen was used to add a bit of texture to the white, Grass - GR3, YG3, OL3, YL2,BR5, Sky - BL3, PK3, C8

Tools: Perfect Layers Mini and Perfect Cutting Mat to cut the borders, Fleur DE Les and small triangles - Spellbinder border die

Accessories and other supplies: Enamel Dots - Eyelet Outlet and Brads,  Aleene's tacky glue to attach the die cuts, foam tape to pop up the image

Now a quick card for the ladies which may also pass for a masculine card.  I created the background by scribbling Copic markers in three shades starting with the darkest at the bottom.  Dropped on blending solution and I also used a hand squeeze airbrush to spritz on the solution to create smaller drops and then spritzed on yellow alcohol ink.

Once the ink and blender dried I stamped the panel with a background image in yellow but you have to look close to see the a bit of added texture.  This shows better in real life.

Two for One - StampTangle Eclectic Garden

Hi Friends - today I wanted to share two cards made using the same flower stamp - StampTangle Eclectic Garden!  I just love this stamp because you can use so many fun color combinations to change the look.

For the happy DAY card I used a combo of pint, yellow and blues.  This was colored with both Distress Stains (background & butterfly) and Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils (flowers & stems).

For my second card "Friends are flowers" I went with various shades of orange and a bit of yellow Sharpie Markers.  Color really does make quite a difference doesn't it?

Stamps used:

Hope you all have a happy day!!
